Last week MICROMINE HQ hosted the Moscow Geobank Development Lead, Pavel Yakovlev. “We are expanding the Geobank development team here in Perth and over in Moscow so we felt it was an ideal time to get Pavel to Perth to discuss our plans for the next year”, said Mark Gabbitus, Geobank Product Strategy Manager. “There is nothing like face to face meetings to ensure that the team works well together. We have big plans for Geobank moving forwards and Moscow is a huge part of those plans.”
During the week Pavel and the Perth team were able to work together, discuss upcoming development projects with Business Analysts and also had some time for a bit of fun. The development team visited the Intertek laboratory in Maddington one morning and got a great tour of the sample preparation and analysis facilities where they were able to put some of the terms they had heard in projects into context. As part of the team building exercise, this was followed by a nice lunch in South Perth and Perth really turned on the glorious winter weather for us.
It was great to have Pavel in Perth and it is part of an ongoing program of inter-office travel that has seen a number of Perth staff visit Moscow already this year with more back and forth trips to come.
