Training and support are key pillars of MICROMINE’s strategy, ensuring clients are getting the most out of their software investment. MICROMINE clients can choose from various training options ranging from online-based training through to customised on-site training.
Pitram Account Manager Tyler Raleigh and Pitram Systems Specialist Laf Fesolai recently travelled to MMG’s Dugald River minesite in Queensland, Australia to provide customised training sessions to the Dugald River Pitram control room operators. The training was aimed at new employees who were new to using the Pitram system, while also acting as a refresher for other Pitram users.
The training sessions equipped MMG staff with the knowledge and skills required to effectively manage and operate the Pitram Control Room modules to capture mining activities related to their equipment, location and personnel. It also provided participants with an understanding of the functionality of the various Pitram tools and with more advanced skills to capture, process and report on key mining activities.
A key outcome of the training was a series of recommendations provided by MICROMINE to assist MMG to get the most out of their Pitram solution. These recommendations included both operational and strategic initiatives which will further optimise the Pitram mine control solution at MMG Dugald River.
The MMG Pitram Control Room administrator commented “The training had immediate impact and I could immediately relate what I learned in the training to how it applies to the job. I was going to give myself three months to learn and ramp up without any training, but the training has shortened this expectation. I didn’t know so much functionality existed and would probably have never known otherwise without the training.”
