Micromine Training: Wireframing

Our intermediate courses are for users who are proficient with the basics of Micromine, but need to perform additional tasks beyond displaying data. These courses will provide you with a greater understanding of Micromine, giving you the skills to get more from your data.

Wireframing is an essential part of the modelling process and is relevant at all stages of the mining cycle, from exploration to resource modelling and mine design.

What will I learn?

Upon completion of the course, you will:

  • Understand and use the wireframing workflow
  • Understand the importance of data quality control for wireframing
  • Construct a wireframe
  • Validate and fix wireframe errors
  • Modify an existing wireframe by deleting sections or moving wireframe points
  • Fix problems in relation to input data that won’t wireframe
  • Model splits and bifurcations using intermediate sections and other techniques
  • Create a solid from one or more surfaces and use wireframe Boolean to intersect two or more wireframes
  • Optionally create wireframe solids of existing or planned underground workings
  • Perform volume and grade/tonnage calculations
  • Use wireframes to create or modify other data
  • Understand and use wireframe utilities such as cleaning and simplifying a wireframe

Who is it suitable for?

 Micromine users who are confident with the basics of Micromine and are involved in the modelling process

Prerequisites

 All attendees must have completed the Introduction to Micromine course or demonstrate a familiarity with the basics of Micromine.

How long is the course?

1 day.

All participants will receive comprehensive training notes and training data on disk, with the option of purchasing a hard copy manual. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
