Micromine Training: Pit Optimisation

This course is designed to introduce you to the Micromine’s Pit Optimisation module that uses industry-standard Lerchs-Grossman algorithm. During the training you will learn how to determine the most profitable open pit given a mineral resource and a set of economic and metallurgical parameters.

Upon completion of the course, you will:

  • Define pit optimisation input parameters
  • Review and prepare a resource model
  • Create an ultimate pit
  • Analyse nested pit shells using various mining scenarios

Who is it suitable for?

 Micromine users who are confident with the basics of Micromine and have solid understanding of open pit mining.

Prerequisites

 All attendees must have attended the Introduction to Micromine course or demonstrate solid understanding of Micromine user interface and its basics. Understanding of open pit mining is highly beneficial.
