Micromine Training: Pit Design

This one day Pit Design training is designed to teach you how to design open pits, as well as dumps and stockpiles. You will also learn how to create haul roads, slot ramps, 3D surfaces of the pit, generate grades and tonnages reports, and create blasthole pattern design using Micromine’s Mining module.

What will I learn?

Upon completion of the course, you will:

  • Design an open pit using variable constraints
  • Create different types of haul roads, slot ramp, and switchbacks
  • Create 3D surface of the pit and Intersect it with topography
  • Generate grades/tonnage report of the pit
  • Create blasthole pattern design, including, but not limited to, creating blast patterns, blast rows or single blastholes, clipping blastholes to a wireframe, defining the firing sequence and delays, and restricting the blastholes to the specified boundaries

Who is it suitable for?

 Micromine users who are confident with the basics of Micromine and have solid understanding of open pit mining.

Prerequisites

 All attendees must have attended the Introduction to Micromine course or demonstrate solid understanding of Micromine user interface and its basics. Attending Micromine’s Pit Optimisation training and understanding of open pit mining is highly beneficial.
