MICROMINE’s Central Asian team exhibited at the 2017 MiningWorld Uzbekistan Exhibition in Tashkent from November 15th to 17th.
Regional Manager, Erick Kanaev, commented on the success of the event. “This event was a great platform to meet with users in the region and demo the latest versions of our mining solutions. Uzbekistan’s mining industry has a lot of potential so it’s important for MICROMINE to build relationships in the country.”
Held at the Uzexpocentre, the exhibition is the only mining event of its kind in the region and serves as a platform for dialogue between domestic and international companies of the mining industry.
This year’s event brought over 4,000 people from 20 countries to discuss and showcase the latest innovation and services available to the mining and exploration industry.
Mr Kanaev commented on MICROMINE’s product specialists who had a busy few days meeting with a number of clients and representatives from various mining companies.
“The team did a great job of meeting with everyone who stopped by the booth and discussed how our solutions could be implemented in their project. Of particular note were our talks with representatives from the Navoi and Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combinats who were really impressed with Micromine’s functionality. We’re excited to see how we can work more closely with them in the future.”
With the countdown until next year’s event underway, Mr Kanaev said he and his team are already looking forward to returning to Uzbekistan.
“We appreciate everyone who visited our booth this year and we look forward to seeing everybody again next year.”
