MICROMINE Central Asia Regional Manager Erick Kanaev has been appointed to the Coordination Council of the KAZRC Association, further solidifying MICROMINE as the market leader in mining and exploration software solutions globally. The Association is a union responsible for public reporting of exploration results, mineral resources and mineral reserves and represents the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards Committee (CRIRSCO).
CRIRSCO was formed in 1994 and is responsible for developing mineral codes and guidelines across Australasia, Brazil, Canada, Russia, South Africa and the USA. Mining companies across these regions use these guidelines to effectively and transparently communicate reporting of mineral deposit estimates and exploration progress to the market.
MICROMINE is the sole mining software company represented on the council and will provide strategic advice and consultation on range of areas including geological data acquisition, geological interpretation and reporting. MICROMINE’s Erick Kanaev is a specialist in this area and will bring expert knowledge and experience to the role.
Mr Kanaev commented “As the sole mining software company represented on the committee, one of my tasks will be to provide consultation on the modern technologies being implemented across the industry and how these technologies relate to reporting standards.”
The main goal of KAZRC is to implement the KAZRC code not only at a local level on the KASE stock exchange, but also at a global level; for example, the New York, London, Tokyo, Australian, Hong Kong stock exchanges. Presence at these exchanges will assist to increase investment attractiveness of mining and exploration assets within the Republic of Kazakhstan.” Mr Kanaev added
