MICROMINEr’s from Perth made their way to Hobart last week, for the 10th International Mining Geology Conference.
“This was my fourth time to the conference and it was another great experience with great talks on all manner of subjects around mine geology. Our time exploring Hobart was great and I’m already looking forward to coming back next year” commented Geobank Product Strategy Manager, Mark Gabbitus.
The Conference featured a three-day technical program of peer review papers presented in multiple formats; standard conference presentations, snap shot presentations and poster presentations. There are also a number of Q&A sessions plus an extensive program of networking events to continue the exchange of technical knowledge.
“Our schedule was packed with as many presentations as we could attend and it’s always interesting to hear different perspectives on what people believe the future of mine geology looks like. It’s gives us a lot to think about when we plan out the future of our Geobank solution” added Gabbitus.
Micromine Operations Manager, David Bartlett, was also attended the event and was extremely busy holding demonstartions at the booth and meeting with prospective clients, showcasing Micromine 2016’s features and capabilities.
“It was a hectic but exciting week at the conference. I met with a lot of people who were interested in Micromine’s capabilities and spoke about the latest developments. There was a lot of positive discussion, so we’ll be in contact with those people to see how we can work closer together” said Bartlett.
Thanks again to everyone who came along to our booth during the event.
