This training course will equip you with all you need to know. Led by Micromine Product Strategy Manager, Paul Hooykaas who will guide you through some detailed workflows of the new Micromine 2018 features.

Migration Training Content
- Licensing
A major development has been changing the way we license our software we have made licensing more flexible and simple for our users. - Unicode
The second major development project, in Micromine 2018, has been the upgrade to Unicode. - File structure enhancements
Micromine 2018 introduces several new field types: Date, Date/Time and Colour. - Collapsing Forms
Micromine now allows interactive access to Vizex without needing to close the working form. - Interactive ellipsoid
The Vizex Search Ellipsoid can now be interactively modified or generated from scratch. - Coordinate conversion
Micromine 2018 provides a better way of converting between any known coordinate systems. - Semi Variogram improvements
You can now visually set up experimental variograms and theoretical models without resorting to entering numbers on a form. Auto calculate and auto fit options simplify the creation of initial models; auto fit modes support both geometric and zonal anisotropy. - Wireframe compare
For each vertex the (closest) distance to a reference wireframe is calculated and this value is written to an Attribute.
- Wireframe draw style
Several new draw styles are now available allowing clients to see and interact with wireframes in new ways.
- Wireframe update
Micromine 2018 allows a client to do load new interpretation and use this wireframing tools to update the wireframe
- 3D volume model (3D Seismics)
The 3D Volume Model Vizex object was designed to display 3D Seismic data. Each pixel of the model is given a colour based on the surrounding data.
- Colour theme switcher
You can now change the colour theme of Micromine at the touch of a button, this not only changes the background colour but a whole host of other associated colours as well. - Ring design
Ring design has been improved and made simpler to use.
- Pit design using optimised shell
The Pit Design tool has an additional tab Build to Shell. Enabling this allow the user to select (typically) the ultimate pit shell generated by the Pit Optimiser. The Pit design will then attempt to adjust each toe string to match the shell boundary.
- New string functions
• New (interactive) string smoothing algorithms.
• String symbols along a line.
